After facing a challenging period during the pandemic, the global Wedding sector has gone from strength to strength in recent years, bouncing back much more quickly than many experts had anticipated. The industry is projected to reach a value of over £300 billion by 2030, thanks to a variety of factors such as product innovations, growing market competition, regulatory changes, and evolving consumer demands.
These figures show that engaged couples are increasingly relying on vendors to execute their wedding plans and bring their ideas to life on their special day. Fifty percent of all weddings are now organised via professional wedding planners, and couples are hiring an average of over ten vendors for the event. While catering services leads in terms of overall market share, the photography segment is expected to experience the most growth across the Wedding industry over the next decade. A recent study by The Knot Worldwide revealed photographers to be the most popular vendor internationally, being hired by eighty-five percent of couples surveyed. There is growing demand for everything from caterers and bar staff, speciality venues, photographers, videographers, and entertainment – to bridal boutiques, hair and makeup artists, jewellers, and honeymoon packages.
